Women's Learning Partnership (WLP)

The Women's Learning Partnership of Rights, Development, and Peace (WLP) is an international, NGO that works to empower women and girls in the Global Sought to re-imagine and re-structure their roles in their families, communities, and societies. WLP creates culture-specific educational materials, provides leadership training, supports capacity building, and helps women to generate and receive information and knowledge. In collaboration with local grassroots organizations, WLP works to empower women activists and organizations to take on leadership roles, actively engage in civil society building, gain the skills and materials to employ information technology to achieve their goals. Leadership training workshops based on WLP's training manual, Leading to Choice: A Leadership Training Handbook for Women, are being implemented in Afghanistan, Cameroon, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Palestine, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe. WLP' is an international organization with a liason office in the USA.
