Wellesley Centers for Women (WCW)

The Wellesley Centers for Women (WCW) is a partnership of the Center for Research on Women and the Stone Center for Developmental Services and Studies at Wellesley College . Located in three buildings on the college campus in Wellesley, Massachusetts , it has a staff of 150 with 50 research and action projects. WCW is working to strengthen and deepen their international connections and collaborations to share and learn from women around the world. They have recently been granted consultative status nongovernmental organization (NGO) status with the United Nations. On April 25-28, 2004, they will host their first International Research & Action Conference, Innovations in Understanding Violence Against Women, designed to expand understanding of an issue that affects women across all national, economic, ethnic and social lines.
