My hair is grey, my skin sagging,
Don't attack me, humiliate and beat me.
I am NOT a creature of sorcery or black magic.
I don't want to be sent away, feared, isolated
Please don't take my land, my little home.
I want to tell my grandchildren, stories of my life.
What has happened to the respect for elders,
To the valuing of life from cradle to grave?
I don't cast spells, cause harm or pain.
I am an older woman, but I am very much alive.
Hear me, care about me, help me, treasure me.
