We are delighted to share
with you our new video on health and informal
workers, which draws on the work of our partners - Asiye eTafuleni (AeT) in
South Africa; HomeNet Thailand; and the Self-Employed Women's Association
(SEWA) in India. The video tells the stories of informal workers and the
difficulties they face in accessing health services in their respective
countries. It also presents some of the solutions that each of these
organizations has developed to mitigate against these barriers to access.
In advance, you can read an article by Laura, "Informal Workers' Access to Health" on the WIEGO Blog, where
you will also find the video, more information and relevant readings.
We are thankful to
everyone who made this video possible, most especially the informal workers
whose stories form the substance of this work. We are also grateful to the
Rockefeller Foundation for its support of the project.
