The Habitat III Issue Papers are summary documents that address one or more research areas, highlight general findings, and identify research needs on topics related to housing and sustainable urban development.

The Issue Papers have been prepared by the United Nations Task Team on Habitat III, a task force of UN agencies and programmes working together towards the Conference.

From 1 July 2015, online Urban Dialogues on the Issue Paper's thematic areas will be launched on the Habitat III site. In addition, Members States are encouraged to send written comments to the Habitat III Secretariat until 30 June, and Stakeholders from 1 July.

Habitat III, the United Nations Conference on Human Settlement, will take place in October 2016 in Quito, Ecuador.
