EUROPE

The number of honour crimes committed on
the European soil is increasing. Very concerned by this worrisome increase, the
SURGIR Foundation (www.surgir.ch), active in the fight against violence towards girls and women,
organises a conference on the topic of honour crimes in Europe.
The aim of this conference is to elaborate on
strategies applied in different European countries which have had extensive
experience for several years in the fight against honour crimes. The conference
is aimed at professionals active in the field of security, education, health
and social matters, in association with NGO's and related fields.
To address the problem and discuss the possible
strategies to fight against honour crimes in Europe, The SURGIR Foundation will
invite the following speakers:
