End Violence Against Children – Video - Girls
WWSF participated in the Launch of the video "Act Now -
End Violence Against Children", produced by the Working Group on Violence
and Children of Child Rights Connect, a Geneva-based network of which WWSF is
an active member. The video highlights recommendations such as enacting
and enforcing laws that ban violence, promoting protection, investing in
prevention, campaigning for children to be part of decision-making processes,
and forming partnerships and regional collaborations. Speakers interviewed
on the video include the UN Special Representative of the Secretary
General on Violence Against Children, the Vice-Chair of the Committee on the
Rights of the Child, among many civil society actors and NGOs, including the
WWSF 19 Days Campaign for Prevention of Violence Against Children & Youth.
