Girls are brave. They are tough. They are resilient. They have to be – in much of our world girls are not valued as much as boys.

In the run-up to 11 October, International Day of the Girl, Plan International is celebrating girls, highlighting injustices and challenging the world to make changes to ensure all girls access their rights.

There are 1 billion girls in the world - and millions of them aren't valued as much as boys. The problem is a girl thing but the solutions involve us all.
