Global Feminist Voices is an independent publishing house that seeks to amplify and disseminate diverse voices of feminist writers around the world through digital media.
We define feminism as the peaceful end to patriarchy and the establishment of equality for all. We add “peaceful” to the standard definition of feminism because we are inclusive and non-violent, and we believe that how we change the world is as important as the world we are creating together.
We seek out and publish voices that are not commonly included in traditional publishing. We add our voices to the other feminist publishing houses in solidarity and with respect, grateful that we do not stand alone.
Through our work, we seek to create revenue and support networks for feminist activists, writers and artists around the world. Because of this, we have a profit-sharing model that reverses the model of traditional publishing, where the author receives only a small percentage of the revenue from book sales. Our authors receive the majority of our profits so that they can continue the work they are doing in the world and be supported by their writing and art.
