European Feminist Initiative Becomes Euro-Med Feminist Intiative, Women Together of 16 Countries

Euro- Med Feminist Statement

9th of April 2014 Brussels

Following the Board meeting of European Feminist Initiative IFE-EFI, the Board of IFE-EFI and MENA partners coming from 16 countries, held a common meeting on 9th of April 2014 at the European Parliament and formally agreed on the enlargement of the European Feminist Initiative into the Euro-Med Feminist Initiative (IFE-EFI) in order to:

·        Launch a new entry to women’s movement history by acknowledging the diversity of our contexts as a wealth in the further development of common analyses structured by the universality of women’s human rights, while recognizing the differences. 

·        Advocating in the Euro-Mediterranean political space with the values of equality between men and women and the demand for the recognition and implementation of fundamental rights to full citizenship and gender equality.

·        Contribute to the exposing and dismantling of the model of patriarchal dominance power.

·        Develop common actions based on mutual solidarity to reinforce the values of universality of women’s rights, non-violence, anti-militarism and separation of all religions from legislative and political spheres.

·        Contribute to the analyses of and addressing the challenges for women’s rights in the Euro-Med region, especially consequences of the global economic crisis in Europe, the increased religious extremisms and conservative trends, the political transition in the Arab region following the massive uprisings for democracy, gender equality and social justice, the war in Syria  and the lingering Israeli occupation.

·        Reinforce the implementation of gender equality and women’s rights in line with the international and regional women’s rights instruments and first among them CEDAW, UNSCR1325, Paris Ministerial Conclusions 2013 on Strengthening the role of women in the society.

 

بيان المبادرة النسوية الأورومتوسطية 

توسيع المبادرة النسوية الأوروبية  إلى ضفتي المتوسط

 بروكسل في 9 نيسان 2014

 

إنعقد في مقر البرلمان الأوروبي – بروكسل في التاسع من نيسان 2014 إجتماعا مشتركا للمبادرة الأوروبية وشركائها من 16 دولة من منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، والذي سبقه إنعقاد إجتماع المبادرة النسوية الأوروبية. وقد إتفقت المجتمعات رسميا على توسيع المبادرة النسوية الأوروبية إلى مبادرة نسوية أورومتوسطية تعمل من أجل:

·        إطلاق مبادرة جديدة في تاريخ الحركة النسوية تقوم على الإعتراف بالإختلافات وبتنوع السياقات الوطنية باعتباره مصدرا لمزيد من التحليل المشترك المنتظم في إطار عالمية حقوق النساء.

·        الدعوة إلى قيم المساواة بين الرجال والنساء والمطالبة بالإعتراف وتطبيق حقوق المواطنة والمساواة الأساسية والكاملة بين الجنسين في الفضاء السياسي الأورومتوسطي.

·         المساهمة في فضح وتفكيك هيمنة نموذج السلطة الأبوية الذكورية.

·        بلورة أعمال مشتركة قائمة على التضامن المتبادل لتعزيز قيم عالمية حقوق النساء ونبذ العنف والعسكرة وفصل جميع الأديان عن الفضائين السياسي والقانوني.

·        المساهمة في تحليل ومواجهة التحديات من أجل حقوق النساء في المنطقة الأورومتوسطية، خاصة مواجهة تداعيات الأزمة الإقتصادية العالمية في أوروبا، تنامي التطرف الديني والتيارات المحافظة، والتحولات السياسية في المنطقة العربية في أعقاب الانتفاضات العارمة من أجل الديمقراطية والمساواة بين الجنسين والعدالة الإجتماعية، الحرب في سوريا، وكذلك الأثار الناجمة عن الاحتلال الاسرائيلي الذي طال أمده.

·        تعزيز تطبيق المساواة بين الجنسين وحقوق النساء بما يتماشى مع الصكوك الدولية والإقليمية المتعلقة بحقوق النساء، وفي المقدمة منها إتفاقية القضاء على كافة أشكال التمييز ضد النساء– السيداو، قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 1325، وإستخلاصات إجتماع باريس الوزاري 2013 بشأن تعزيز دور النساء في المجتمع.

 

L’IFE-EFI élargie aux deux rives de la Méditerranée

Déclaration Féministe Euromed

Comme suite à la réunion du 9  Avril 2014  au Parlement  Européen, les membres du  bureau  de l’Initiative Féministe Européenne  et leurs  partenaires de la région MENA, (Moyen-Orient et Afrique du Nord), représentant 16 pays, ont entériné l’élargissement de l’Initiative Féministe Européenne en Initiative Féministe Euro Med IFE-EFI afin de:

·        Contribuer à faire évoluer  l’Histoire des femmes en montrant - tout en reconnaissant nos différences - que la diversité de nos contextes n’est pas un obstacle mais un atout pour développer  des analyses communes fondées sur l’universalité des droits des femmes. 

·        Promouvoir dans l’espace politique Euro-Méditerranéen les valeurs d’égalité entre les femmes et les hommes et  l’exigence que soit reconnu et appliqué  le  droit fondamental  des femmes à la pleine citoyenneté et à l’égalité.

·        Contribuer à mettre en évidence et à déconstruire le modèle de domination patriarcale.

·        Développer des actions communes basées sur la solidarité mutuelle pour renforcer les valeurs d’universalité des droits des femmes, de  non-violence, d’anti militarisme, et promouvoir  la séparation entre  la religion et les   sphères législative et politique.

·        Analyser et  affronter ensemble les obstacles aux droits des femmes dans la région Euro Med, en particulier les conséquences de la crise économique en Europe, de  la montée des intégrismes religieux et des courants conservateurs, des transitions politiques dans le monde Arabe suite aux soulèvements massifs des peuples pour la démocratie, l’égalité entre les sexes et la justice sociale, de  la guerre  en Syrie, de  la poursuite de l’occupation Israélienne. 

·        Renforcer l’égalité des sexes et les droits des femmes en prenant appui sur les instruments internationaux et régionaux, au premier rang desquels la CEDAW, la Résolution 1325 du Conseil de Sécurité  des Nations Unies  et  les  Conclusions de la réunion des Ministres Euro Med, Paris 2013,  sur le renforcement du rôle des femmes dans la société.
