2014-2018 Iraq Action Plan on UN SC Res 1325
Iraq is the first country in the Arab World to have
developed a National Action Plan for implementation of the UNSCR1325 on Women,
Peace and Security (NAP1325). It is among the very few countries in the whole
world to have developed a detailed budget for its implementation.
The NAP 1325 will be launched on 6th February 2014 in
Baghdad at a conference organized by the Ministry of Women’s Affairs in
cooperation with INAP1325 Initiative. The Conference will take place at
Mansour Hotel – Hall of Quordoba. Download Invitation
NAP1325 will be a tool
in the hands for the civil society to monitor the implementation of the
UNSCR1325 - one of the most powerful resolutions for women’s rights. It will
provide opportunities for the international community to support concrete
actions of the State and civil society towards improving the status of women and
peace building in Iraq.
