Gender-based violence (GBV) against women and girls is one of the most widespread violations of human rights. Health services offer an effective way to respond to GBV, yet a systemic approach is still often missing. This website developed jointly by WAVE and UNFPA Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia provides tools for health professionals, service providers and policy-makers, with a focus on the region of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It offers practical guidance for designing and implementing programmes, carrying out trainings, building up efficient referral systems, and setting up a monitoring and evaluation mechanism.
For further information, please contact the WAVE Office at info@health-genderviolence.org.
