The
measure aimed at preventing crime, punishing perpetrators and protecting women,
already passed in the Chamber of Deputies and as such becomes law. The
regionalist Northern League, Left Ecology and Freedom (SEL), and the
anti-establishment Five Star Movement (M5S) did not take part in the vote. The
latter asked for five minutes silence to reflect on the regulations under
consideration, a request that the President of the Senate, Pietro Grasso,
rejected. (AGI) .
