Thomson Reuters Foundation is the charitable arm of Thomson Reuters, the world's biggest news and information company. We stand for human rights, women's empowerment, better governance, greater transparency and the rule of law.

The Foundation runs a number of programmes aimed at empowering women through in-depth reporting of women’s issues, providing free legal assistance and training journalists worldwide.

Our annual women's rights poll of gender experts seeks to shine a light on the most pressing issues facing women. Our two previous polls assessed the most dangerous countries for women worldwide and the best and worst G20 countries for women.

Both received international media coverage and put women’s rights at the heart of the news agenda.

Our latest poll focuses on the lives of women in Arab League states.

We would be grateful if you would answer the following questions about an Arab League country of your choice.

If you feel you could answer questions on more than one country, then please feel free to take the survey again with another country in mind.

The survey itself should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. Your voice will help us understand the major issues of concern for women living in this region.

Your identity and answers are confidential and we will not quote you without your consent.
