Sexual and
Reproductive Health and Rights for All - NOW!
is the resounding call made by the Asian Pacific Resource and Research Centre
for Women (ARROW) and her partners across South Asia (Bangladesh- Naripokkho,
India- Centre for Health, Education, Training and Nutrition Awareness (CHETNA)
& Rural Women's Social Education Centre (RUWSEC), Maldives- Society for
Health Education (SHE), Pakistan- Shirkat Gah) East Asia (China- Yunnan Health
and Development Research Association(YHDRA) and South East Asia Cambodia-
Reproductive Health Association of Cambodia (RHAC), Lao PDR- University of
Health Science, Malaysia- Reproductive Rights Advocacy Alliance Malaysia
(RRAAM), Indonesia- Women's Health Foundation, the Philippines- Likhaan,
Thailand/ Burma- Migrants Action Programme Foundation, Vietnam- Center for
Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP)). Representatives
including young people from these 12 countries came together in March 2013 in
Bali, Indonesia to revitalise and strategise for the inclusion of the SRHR
agenda for sustainable development in the region, drawing from the commitments
made in the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population
and Development (ICPD PoA) and the Millennium Development Goals(MDGs). This
call was immediately taken to the CSO Forum for the 4th High Level Panel for
Post 2015 and has been reflected in its communiqué.
