AID FOR TRADE REPORT - MONITORING & EVALUATION

Consider the Report (link below) on Aid for Trade through a GENDER LENS. Such as through the report on Women in Agriculture - Closing the Gender Gap for Development.

http://www.fao.org/docrep/013/i2050e/i2050e.pdf

Consider the high number of women global who work in the "informal economy."

Consider the "off the charts" realities of immigrant women, undocumented women, women dealing with economic and food crises, conflict and war, displacement, climate change, natural disasters, disabilities, old age, widowhood.....

The report below explores Aid for Trade with a focus on poverty and the poor and excluded groups......"Many Aid for Trade projects and programmes may have only an indirect effect on poor and excluded groups and poverty reduction. Generally, poverty reduction is measured only at the goal level and with macro-level indicators......In many cases projects and programmes focus on institutional strengthening and improving policy making, with only long term, indirect impact on poverty. In these cases, the effects on poor and excluded groups or on poverty reduction are typically not assessed......"

Consider the necessity of more GENDER DISAGGREGATED DATA/STATISTICS.
