2012 - Fifty-eight million girls in developing countries were child brides
in the last decade. This PRB ENGAGE video highlights the consequences that
early marriage can have for girls, such as poor health outcomes and lost
opportunities for education and empowerment. But effective strategies to
address early marriage do exist and can help millions of girls fulfill their
potential and contribute to the development of their families and communities.
