Get to know your Mother Daughter History

January 2013

Let's start 2013 with a celebration of our female roots!

March 8 is International Women's Day. On this day we celebrate women. We celebrate what our mothers and grandmothers have achieved, fought for, and sacrificed. And we get to know our female roots.

Join the "Get to know your Mother Daughter History" Campaign on International Women's Day that will unite mothers, daughters, and women across the generations and help us learn about our shared female history.

What's the campaign about?

In the Mother Daughter History Maps I've drawn over the past 15 years:

  • Mothers and Grandmothers were not understood as women in their own right.
  • Mothers and Grandmothers were not empowered to fulfill their dreams.
  • Mothers and Grandmothers were not asked what they needed.
  • Mothers and Grandmothers' acheivements and intelligence were rarely acknowledged.

This enormous tragedy leaves our Mothers and Grandmothers invisible, unacknowledged, and much of our female roots unknown.

It robs women from knowing who they are, from understanding how hard women have fought for women's rights, from knowing their female roots, and owning the talent, intelligence, and strength their Mothers and Grandmothers have passed down to them.

To address this tragedy Rosjke has launched the

Get to Know your Mother Daughter History Campaign!

In this campaign, women everywhere will spend time on International Women's Day getting to know their mother daughter history.

This is completley FREE!

It unites mothers and daughters and women across the generations as they learn about their shared female history.

How to join the campaign

1. Sign up to Rosjke's free newsletter. Mother Daughter Coach Join me on Facebook.

2. Make a coffee date with your Mother, Grandmother, or Elder Sister Friend, if for any reason you can't talk with your mother or grandmother.

3. During your coffee date ask your Mother, Grandmother, or Elder Sister Friend:

  • What is good about being a woman? What is difficult?
  • What is good about being a mother? What is difficult?
  • What did you dream of being when you were young? What happened to that dream?
  • What was your relationship with your mother like?
  • How did you get your needs met? How have your needs been treated in the family?
  • Tell me stories of how brave and strong your mother and grandmother were?

4. Let the conversation flow! These questions are designed to get you started. Follow your instinct because it will lead you to what you need to discover about your mother daughter history.

5. Tell us what you've learnt about your Mother Daughter History, the connections you've made, and the strength and wisdom you've discovered that is yours to own. Share what you've discovered through Facebook and with your friends.

Together, we can claim our Mother Daughter History, so that

Every Mother and Daughter Knows that they deserve to be Loved!
