"About 75% of the poorest inhabitants of the world - mostly women, and about 50% of the people threatened by hunger, are fed by crops of small farms. Access to land, water, seeds, and technical support is essential to them. Agrofuel production can have a negative impact on small and subsistence farmers, as well as nomadic and indigenous peoples. It can cause their displacement, and forced relocation, and loss of land, loss of food production as small landholders/farmers."
