HOUSING
Building on the work and
consultations carried out by the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on Adequate
Housing since 2002, this publication identifies specific challenges,
discrimination and biased attitudes faced by women in relation to their right
to adequate housing, and discusses issues such as inheritance, forced
evictions, domestic violence, HIV-AIDS, and the financial crisis, through a
substantive equality lens.
