2013
Competitive Grant Solicitation
for Non-Governmental Organizations
The
Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (the TIP
Office) is announcing an open competition for fiscal year 2013 funding of
projects to combat trafficking in persons outside of the United States.
The first stage of competition begins with this
solicitation for two-page Statements of Interest (SOI) from eligible
organizations interested in submitting proposals for projects that address
specific recommendations identified in the 2012 Trafficking in Persons Report.
In the second stage, the TIP Office will invite selected applicants to submit
full proposals that expand upon their capability to perform the project
proposed in the first stage SOIs. U.S.-based and foreign non-profit,
non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and institutions of higher education are
eligible to apply. For-profit organizations are eligible to apply on a limited
basis. Public International Organizations (IOs) are not eligible to apply under
this solicitation. Pending the availability of appropriated funds, the TIP
Office anticipates awarding grants of up to $750,000 per project.
All SOIs must be submitted via www.grantsolutions.gov OR www.grants.gov by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard
Time (EST) on Monday, January 21, 2013.
