MAKING THE FOOD SYSTEM WORK FOR
WOMEN
The Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food contributed to
the online discussion, 'Making the Food System Work for Women' convened by
Oxfam from November 19-30. His submission, entitled 'The Recivilization of Men
by Women' concluded a series of ten expert views brought together by Oxfam with
a view to reframing the discourse on food security from the perspective of
women's rights.
The Special Rapporteur will present an official report to the UN
Human Rights Council on gender and the right to food in March 2013.
