Voluntary
Trust Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery

We are pleased to announce that the United Nations Voluntary
Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery will accept requests for funding
for grants that will be used between 1 January and 31 December 2013.
The United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund on Contemporary
Forms of Slavery allocates grants (as a rule, for a maximum of
US$15,000), for projects aiming to provide humanitarian, legal and
financial assistance to individuals whose human rights have been severely
violated as a result of contemporary forms of slavery. Contemporary forms
of slavery include, inter alia, chattel slavery, serfdom, forced labour,
debt bondage, the worst forms of child labour including children in armed
conflict, forced and early marriage, sale of wives, widow inheritance,
trafficking in persons, sexual slavery, and sale of children.
Please note that
only those applications that strictly comply with the Guidelines of the
Fund will be considered, thus before submitting an application, applicants
are strongly invited to read these Guidelines, which are available on the
following link:

With reference to annex III
of the Fund's Guidelines, application forms duly completed and all
supporting documents should be submitted in their electronic format
by 31 May 2012 by email:
slaveryfund@ohchr.org
The last page of the
application form, duly signed and dated, should be scanned and sent
separately by email. Exceptionally, and upon justification, you may
submit these documents by post.
Incomplete
applications will not be considered.
