2011 AWID Global Survey: Where
is the Money for Women's Rights?
We are writing to you from AWID's Where is the Money for Women's
Rights? (WITM) Initiative. WITM carries out research on funding trends
for women's rights and gender equality work around the world. We are
now launching a global survey of women's rights organizations and
groups to obtain data on the trends, size and sustainability of funding
of women's organizations globally. The results will be used to help
women's movements and organizations globally advocate for more and
better quality resources for women's rights organizing and gender
equality.
Please help us collect this important information by
filling out the survey and by spreading the word! We need all the participation we can get from women's
rights organizations, groups, and initiatives to help us develop a
comprehensive analysis of funding trends for women's rights organizing
and gender equality.
The deadline for completion is Wednesday, 23 November
2011.
The survey is available in five languages.

By completing the survey, you will not only be helping us
make the case for funding women's rights organizing, but you will also
be entered to win a flight to attend the 12th AWID International Forum,
"Transforming Economic Power to Advance Women's Rights and
Justice," (http://www.forum.awid.org/forum12/)
taking place 19-22 April, 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey. Two winners will be
announced in December 2011.
Only one survey per organization is needed. You are
welcome to complete the survey yourself or forward it to the
appropriate colleague who has detailed information on the funding and
income levels in your organization.
We look forward to sharing the results of this survey and
our on-going research with you in the coming months. In the meantime,
if you have any questions, or would like additional information on the
survey or WITM research, please contact fundher@awid.org.
Thank you!
