One of the world's greatest
challenges is to secure access for all to adequate supplies of food that is
healthy, safe, and of high quality, and in an environmentally sustainable
manner. To ensure better nutrition from food is critical. Nutrition must be at
the forefront of the major goals of agriculture and production systems, so that
biodiversity can serve as an avenue to improve dietary diversity and quality,
and health, and at the same time aid in the restoration and preservation of
ecosystems.
