PILNET OFFERS PRO BONO/FREE LEGAL
ASSISTANCE FOR NON-PROFITS
AWID - 26/09/2011
PILnet: the Global Network for Public Interest Law (formerly known as PILI), is an independent non-profit organization. For over five years PILnet has been developing pro bono (or volunteer) legal practices around the world. If your organization has unmet legal needs which could be taken by enthusiastic pro bono lawyers please get in touch with PILnet!
PILnet was established in 1997 at Columbia University in New York to promote
the use of law as a tool to serve the interests of society rather than of those
of the powerful few. PILnet inspires lawyers to serve the public interest, it
strengthens the ability of civil society to help shape law and policy and
enhances access to justice.
PILnet’s pro bono clearinghouse serves to bridge the gap between lawyers
seeking opportunities to help and nonprofit organizations requiring assistance.
PILnet leverages significant resources from more than 60 international and
domestic law firms to assist non-profit groups and think tanks and to support
the work of full-time public interest lawyers.
If your organization has unmet legal needs which could be taken by
enthusiastic pro bono lawyers please get in touch with PILnet!
