*Pakistan has 94 females for every
100 males.
*This entrenched inequality is
reflected in the education system of Pakistan.
*Fewer than half of women have been
to school, and just 35% of those
living in rural areas.
*The children of educated women are
healthier, and also better educated, as they
use their own education to
nurture the next generation.
*Literacy levels of young people in
Pakistan are low, with 31% of males and
41% of females ages 15-24
unable to read or write.
