providers of food, yet millions go hungry. This is unacceptable.
This issue of Ageways looks at the many reasons why, from
the impact of global food price rises to lack of understanding of older
people's nutritional needs, and suggests ways to tackle these problems.
Across the world, countless community
initiatives such as lunch clubs and "meals on wheels" services give
older people their only chance of a decent meal.
Many are run by volunteers, often older
