core of this text relates to the importance and enhancement of the Treaty

Of the United Nations Treaty Bodies,
the CEDAW Committee, which monitors the CEDAW Convention and reviews Member
State Reports, may be most familiar to women. But, the multiple Treaty Bodies
address gender issues of women and girls, as related to their specific treaty.
The documentation of these Treaty Body Mechanisms, can be significantly
important to programs advocating for human rights of women and girls. Shadow/Alternative
Reports presented by during the multiple Treaty Body sessions, can also be very
important for lobbying, leverage by NGO's.
The reporting process for Countries
to the UN Treaty Bodies is defined for each, and is for those Member States which
have ratified the individual treaties.
Example of the Reporting Schedule
for Countries to the CEDAW Committee/Treaty Body can be found at: http://www2.ohchr.org/english/bodies/cedaw/sessions.htm
