Report:
"Internally displaced persons
or IDP's are people who have been forced to flee or to leave their homes or
places of habitual residences and who, unlike refugees, remain within their own
country. Around the world today, across more than 50 countries, there are an
estimated 27.1 million internally displaced persons as a result of armed
conflict. At least half of these internally displaced persons, that is, at
least 13.5 million, and likely more, are children."
