CONFERENCE AGREEMENTS
The
Women's Environment and Development Organization (WEDO) has put forth a
compilation of the Gender Equality language integrated into the Cancun
Agreements, 2010. There are eight gender equality references across seven
sections of the Cancun Agreements, as well as in COP-adopted decisions for the
subsidiary bodies including the Least Developed Countries Expert Group, the New
Delhi Work Programme and the Nairobi Work Programme.These accomplishments are
thanks to the advocacy efforts of the WEDO-organized 'Working Group on
Long-term Cooperative Action' under the Convention.
