Nov. 05, 2010 - Blistering gas from Indonesia's most volatile volcano spewed farther than expected Friday, incinerating houses at the edge of the danger zone, triggering chaotic evacuations and pushing the death toll higher.

Indonesia's most active volcano killed at least 58 people in its biggest eruption in over a century, driving thousands more into emergency shelters, smothering homes and grounding flights.
