FEMCIT aims to provide policy makers, decision makers, social actors, and the academic community with evidence and analysis of the complex dynamics of gendered citizenship in a multicultural context. Research conducted under the auspices of the FEMCIT initiative considers the following questions, among others:
* What role have women’s
movements played in transforming European societies and European culture since
the 1960s?
* How have they changed our everyday lives and relationships?
* How have they impacted upon our involvement in politics and civil society?
* How are gender issues re-shaping the meaning of citizenship in an
increasingly multicultural

citizenship have been articulated by contemporary women’s movements
- To evaluate the impact of European feminist women’s movements on citizenship
discourses and practices since the 1960s
