USA - WOMEN'S EQUALITY DAY - AUGUST

26 of each year is designated in the United States as Women's Equality Day.
Instituted by Rep. Bella Abzug and first established in 1971, the date
commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment, the Woman Suffrage Amendment to
the U.S. Constitution, which gave U.S. women full voting rights in 1920.

Nineteenth Amendment (Amendment XIX) to the United States
Constitution prohibits each state and the federal
government from denying any citizen the right to vote based on that citizen's sex. It
was ratified on August 18, 1920.

you believe in woman, hold my hand.
In
the whole spectrum of time,
Since
people first walked the earth,
Patriarchy
has only existed
For
the blink of an eye.
Now
our eyes are wide open
To
the rebirth
Of
the celebration of Woman
And
the importance
Of
her compassion,
As
she stirs up spirals of healing.
