food, climate or water crises without talking about women and children. Women
are the keepers of water in varying parts of the world. In many places they are
responsible for getting it and using it for the multiple needs of their
families, both in rain-fed and irrigated farming systems. They are particularly
affected by the quality and reliability of local water sources. Yet, they often
lack any control over water management because of their social status."
