CALL FOR INPUT - UN REPORT ON
DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN
IN LAW AND IN
PRACTICE AND HOW ADDRESSED IN UN SYSTEM
The OHCHR is requesting input from civil society on a thematic report, pursuant
to Human Rights Council (HRC) resolution 12/17 adopted in October 2009, on
discrimination against women in law and in practice, and how the issue is
addressed throughout the United nations human rights system, including CEDAW.
Any relevant information for this
study is welcome. Your input would greatly enhance the quality of this report
and ensure that it considers issues that may not have been adequately
addressed, such as the situation of indigenous women, SOGI issues, etc.
This report will be submitted to the Human Rights Council at the September 2010
session.
Please send your responses directly to Cecilia Moller, Acting Coordinator of
the Women's Rights and Gender Section.
