Conclusions and/or Recommendations:
7. Enhance efforts to
further promote economic and social rights, as well as the rights of vulnerable
groups, including women, children and people with disabilities.
8. Reconsider the
inclusion of "apostasy," "witchcraft" and
"heresy" as capital offences in an updated penal code.
32. Develop a legal framework for
protecting and promoting the rights of women.
33. Adopt measures to guarantee
women's equality under the law.
35. Facilitate for all children born
to Iranian mothers access to a birth certificate and Iranian nationality,
regardless of the nationality of the father.

advocates for gender equality.
