Policies and
Actions to Eradicate Hunger and Malnutrition
A billion people are hungry, and the number increases. Women are especially hard hit.
There is an urgent need for shift in policies and actions.
The documents presented here provide proposals
for policies and actions to eradicate hunger and malnutrition. They are based
on the experiences and political work of social movements, non governmental
organisations (NGOs) and others from all over the world during past decades and
currently. It is based largely on the food sovereignty framework that embraces
the human right to adequate food.
We invite organisations and individuals to sign on to the open letter
and summary of the working document. These documents will be presented to the
World Summit on Food Security, in 16-18 November together with the working
document.
