The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe is one of five regional commissions of the United Nations. The others are the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).
UNECE brings together 56 countries located in the European Union, non-EU Western and Eastern Europe, South-East Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and North America.

The NGO Working Group
on Women’s Employment and Economics of Gender is organising an interactive
roundtable on 30-31 October in conjunction with the regional meeting of the UN
Economic Commission for

have a little over two months to prepare. To ensure effective results of the
NGO process, we strongly suggest that participants should read the website http://www.unece.org where all the ECE documents can be
found as well as to read the responses of the governments to the questionnaire
sent by the ECE Secretariat.
