Persian Gender Network (an Initiative funded by the World Bank) invites
academics and policy makers to submit an abstract for a paper to be featured in
its upcoming conference on November 19-20 at
PGN seeks to select 5-6 outstanding papers on topics related to women's
economic
empowerment rights and opportunities in the three countries of
self-employment and entrepreneurship as well as how women’s work and
contribution to the overall national economy can be recognized and empowered.
Please send an abstract no more than one page highlighting the topic, the
methodology, the evidence/data used and key literature.The papers could be
from across academic disciplines, as long as they address the themes above.
The
selected papers will receive $1500 of stipend as well as coverage of cost of
travel for participation in the conference. The deadline for submission
of the
abstract is August 15.
