CALL FOR EXAMPLES OF GENDER RIGHTS LEGISLATION

WITH MANDATES FOR GOVERNMENTS TO IMPLEMENT +

The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network is developing a resource on legislating for women's rights which will include sample provisions that aim to ensure progressive legislation is actually fully implemented and enforced.

In this regard, we are gathering examples of existing legislation tht includes provisions that mandate governments to allocate sufficient resources to implementation, evaluation and review of legislation on various issues related to the right to health and other economic and social rights.

We are also interested in legislative provisions that mandate governments to conduct training, provide legal aid or access to legal services, and evaluate the functioning of legislative protections.

If you are aware of examples of such legislation, I would be most appreciative if you were to contact me with the information.
