The Women’s World Summit Foundation WWSF cordially
invites you to submit nominations for its 16th annual edition of the PRIZE for women’s creativity in rural life,
honouring creative and courageous women and women’s organisations working to
improve the quality of life in rural communities around the world.

Since inception of the prize program in 1994, 344 Laureates have been
honoured for their creativity (as of 2009 US$ 1000 per laureate and US$
3000 for established organizations in Africa). All Laureates and their profiles
are published on our web site http://www.woman.ch/home.php.
A travelling exposition and a global poster is giving visibility to
all the prize winners.
Given your experience, interest and perspective with regard to issues of
development, human rights, micro-credit, peace building and empowerment of
women, we greatly appreciate your participation and thank you in advance for
sending us your candidates For 2009. Prize winners will be selected from
complete nominations that include all the required documents mentioned in the
attached nomination guidelines. Incomplete nominations will not be
considered.
Your
candidates should arrive no later than
31 March 2009 preferably by mail to the address below.

La WWSF Fondation Sommet Mondial des Femmes / Women’s World Summit Foundation a
le plaisir de vous inviter à soumettre des candidatures pour la 16ème édition
du Prix WWSF pour la créativité des femmes en
milieu rural. Le Prix honore chaque année des femmes et des
organisations féminines du monde entier ayant fait preuve de créativité, de
courage, et d’un engagement exceptionnel dans l’amélioration de la qualité de
vie dans les communautés rurales.
Depuis le lancement de ce programme en 1994, 344 femmes et organisations ont
reçu ce prix. A partir de 2009, le prix sera doté de 1000 US$ par lauréate et
de 3000 US$ par organisation basée en Afrique. Les noms et profils de toutes
les lauréates sont publiés sur notre site Internet http://www.woman.ch . Une exposition
itinérante continue de donner une visibilité aux lauréates.
Connaissant votre expérience et votre intérêt pour le développement, les
droits humains, le micro-crédit, le renforcement de la capacité d’agir des
femmes et la paix, nous apprécierions votre participation à cette initiative et
vous remercions d’ores et déjà pour l’envoi de vos nominations pour la
sélection 2009.
Les dossiers présentant vos candidates doivent nous parvenir par courrier avant
le 31 mars 2009. Ceux qui sont incomplets ne seront pas pris en
considération.
