19. "The Committee (CEDAW)
continues to be deeply concerned about the persistence of patriarchal attitudes
and deep-rooted cultural sterotypes regarding the roles and responsibilities of
women and men in the family and society in Uzbekistan, as expressed in the
previous concluding comments."
20. "The Committee urges the
State party to address directly stereotypical attitudes about the roles and
responsibilities of women and men, including the hidden cultural patterns and
norms that perpetuate direct and indirect discrimination against women and
girls in all areas of their lives."
