MUSLIM PILGRIMS FROM AROUND THE WORLD UNITE FOR HAJJ

All those who perform Hajj, despite their differences in ethnicity, culture, and language, share the same rites and hopes.

Millions of Muslims from all over the world go to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, for performing Hajj.

The Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca. It is the largest annual pilgrimage in the world. It is the fifth pillar of Islam, an obligation that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so. It is a demonstration of the solidarity of the Muslim people, and their submission to Allah. The pilgrimage occurs from the 8th to 12th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar.

About 501 Nigerian pilgrims from the Kano zone yesterday took off from the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA)in Kano for Saudi Arabia .

The first batch of pilgrims, who were airlifted by Kabo Air early afternoon were from Hadejia, Birnin Kudu, and Buji Local Governments of Jigawa State. Over 13,000 pilgrims are to be airlifted from Kano.

The nearly 209,00 Indonesians will be Hajj pilgrims are divided into 497 flight groups and would use 11 airports in Indonesia for their departures.

According to Islam, hajj inculcates the spirit of love and devotion to the One and Only Lord. It unifies peoples' minds and hearts on almost the same purposes; to please Allah and to have their sins forgiven.

All those who perform Hajj, despite their differences in ethnicity, culture, and language, share the same rites and hopes. Even those who do not perform Hajj turn their hearts and eyes towards the Ka`bah. Therefore, Hajj unifies the minds and hearts of all Muslims towards this great pillar of Islam.

The total number of Kashmiri pilgrims leaving for the holy pilgrimage has risen to 1728 since October 30, when the pilgrims started departing for this year's Hajj.

 

4,500 Filipino Muslims will be planned arrive to Mecca next month for successful pilgrimage, local officials said.

'Hajji camp' is being set up in the weekend to provide over 25,000 from British pilgrims to Mecca with health and safety advise.

Steps of Hajj Performing

Muslims have to bathe yourself (Ghusl) before performing Hajj and wear special clothes hich are called as "Ihram". They also make intention for Umrah or Hajj and recite Talbeyah. They are responsible to avoid acts forbidden while in the state of Ihram during all Hajj performing.

Muslims make tawaf that is walking around that Ka'bah. after tawaf, they make sa'i between Safa and Marwah. Sa'i is the running between Safa and Marwah. This This is called as Umrah.
