Wellness Retreat for Women:
Meditation, Buddhist Teachings and Tibetan Healing

This 10 day retreat, in a peaceful and
quiet village setting, will integrate wellness of the body, mind and spirit
through:
* A five day meditation retreat, incorporating various meditation
techniques and mindfulness practices
* An introduction to socially engaged Buddhist teachings
* An overview of Tibetan Health and Healing
* Daily yoga and chi gong practice
* Ample time for rest, relaxation and personal reflection

Doctor Venerable Tsering Palmo, founder and director of the
Ladakh Nuns Association in Ladakh, northern India. The first Ladakhi
nun trained in Tibetan medicine, Venerable Palmo integrates meditation and
dharma teaching in her approach to healing the body and spirit.

Ouyporn
Khuankaew
is cofounder and director of International Women’s Partnership for Peace
and Justice (IWP). She leads meditation retreats that focus on
cultivating mindfulness for a socially engaged life.

Registration and fees: Participants may
choose to join the 5 day meditation only (Dec. 12 – 16) or the entire
course.
Fees cover course registration, accommodation, delicious vegetarian
meals, and transport to/from Chiang Mai to our center.
- Fees are on a
sliding scale of $400-$600 USD for women in the global North and
$200-$250 USD for women in the global South for the 10 day
course.
- Fees for the 5
day meditation retreat only are $175 - $250 USD for global North
and $100 USD for global South.
Proceeds from the retreat will be used to support the projects of the
Ladakh Nuns Association.
