MOTHER'S MESSAGE TO HER UNBORN CHILD
I whisper softly
In your unborn ear
And cry an acid
Dew drop
Of sorrow.
For all the fresh starry nights
You will not see
Because of me
And everything I require
Just to be.
My deepest wish for you
Is that humanity
Will see,
Become enlightened
So that you
May not be frightened.
I pledge to rectify
My blatant disregard
For the earth
And your sacred birth.
I embraced without question
All the means to survive
In this superficial bastion
Where tools of death
Were passed on
For me, not you
To thrive.
But it started long ago
When I had no say
About how this world
Would end up this way.
I take my power back
I resurrect myself
I demand compassion now
For you love,
And everyone else.
