Women's Hope - Arzu, meaning hope in Dari, is the name of a new organization
that provides sustainable income to destitute Afghan women by sourcing and
selling the rugs they weave, often in their own homes. Arzu helps weavers and
their families break the cycle of poverty by providing them above market
compensation and access to education and health care. Weavers must agree to send
their children to school.
