Our Bodies Ourselves (OBOS), also known as the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective (BWHBC), is a nonprofit, public interest women’s health education, advocacy, and consulting organization.

Founded in 1969, our organization is best known for the groundbreaking book Our Bodies, Ourselves.Today we continue to be a strong advocate for women’s health. We are committed to providing accurate health and medical information in lay language while also advocating for public policies and institutional reforms that improve the well-being of women and our communities.

A seven-volume Braille edition was produced from the 1973 edition; all except the 1970 edition have appeared in audio versions.
