The Women's UN Report Network - WUNRN - http://www.wunrn.com, is based on the United Nations Study on the Status of Women and Freedom of Religion or Belief and Traditions. In this UN Study is text against slavery practices. WUNRN is committed, and with a gender focus, to advocacy and action against Modern Day Slavery, including in WUNRN participation at the United Nations.

WUNRN addresses the human rights, oppression, and empowerment of women and girls, international. WUNRN studies and presents through the global WUNRN ListServe and WUNRN website, research, news releases, resources, and references, documenting the realities and repression of Modern Day Slavery.

WUNRN has witnessed the graphic abuses of Modern Day Slavery of women and girls around the world, as in sexual exploitation, trafficking, child labor, prostitution, forced migration, and multiple forms of victimization. WUNRN supports international and domestic laws against Modern Day Slavery, and implementation of these laws to end this abuse of human rights, and provide the freedom and dignity of all.

WUNRN feels it is important to address the DEMAND for slavery, and the markets that facilitate the slavery of women and girls, of all human beings, and very much through globalization, organized crime, and even the internet.

WUNRN will continue to advocate for gender equality, and for civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights of women and girls. WUNRN pledges, and very much with a gender lens, to document, disseminate, and archive, information on realities of Modern Day Slavery, to make the hidden visible, and the faces and stories of victims real, in order to be catalyst multi-level, multi-sector, for social change and human rights for all.
