Meet the Women Who are Changing the Face of Journalism

In newsrooms around the world, and especially in developing countries, the editorial decisions about what to cover and how to cover it are still primarily made by men. This means that issues of vital importance to women -- girls' education, forced marriage, rape -- may be underreported or trivialized. As we celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, Internews spotlights ten countries where women are playing a key role in their local media -- opening doors and opening minds. Join us for a tour of the world through the eyes of these inspiring women.

·  Uganda: Interview with NPR reporter and Internews trainer Rachel Jones on what keeps her going

·  Afghanistan: "Mirror of Women" reflects on the life of a single mother forced from her home

·  Pakistan: Nighat Hunzai: Covering neglected stories of women

·  Cambodia: Reporters learn to investigate human trafficking as Cambodia enacts a tough new law

·  West Bank: Abeer Kilaney: TV network president, radio station manager and mother of six

·  Chad: Halima, a refugee from Darfur, shares her story of forced marriage to a stranger

·  Kenya: A roundtable sensitizes journalists to covering rape, HIV and violence

·  Tajikistan: A ground-breaking talk radio show breaks the silence on domestic violence

·  Vietnam: Nguyen Thu Hue: Empowering women leaders through information technologies
